G'day
« on: August 03, 2024, 07:53:51 am »
New Member here from Sydney Australia.

I've been riding/restoring bikes pretty much my whole life. I got my first bike, a little Gemini SST 50 for Christmas when I was 10 years old, and I still have a burn scar the shape of the Gemini's exhaust guard on the back of my left leg. I used to tell my mates that the SST stood for "Super Sonic Transport" ;D

When everyone else was out Panic Buying Toilet Paper here in Australia during the COVID Stupidity - I was out Panic Buying Honda Cubs. So at the moment I have a couple of C90s and a C50 being restored along with a 1976 and a 1977 Honda XR75.

A couple of big things happened recently - I am getting close to finishing some of the Cubs, and I retired from work, so I figure now is the time to get the CB350F I have always wanted (or perhaps a CB500 Four) to restore. - hence my membership here. Actually, I guess the pistons in the 350F wouldn't be much different size to the little Honda C90s I am working on.

If you are in Australia, and happen to know where I might get hold of a 350F or perhaps a 500 Four - please let me know - its for a full restoration, so condition is not too critical, but I would like it to be as complete as possible.

Thanks.

Polybus.

Welcome aboard the forum Polybus for the east coast of the USA, in southern NH. Good hunting for your projects.
I met a bloke from over your way back here while he and his squeeze were traveling around filming roads for Motorcycle tours he takes other riders on. He has a youtu.be channel of his adventures.  They were a hoot to spend time having coffee with.
Pictured with them is Sean from Belfast Northern Ireland on his tour of the world's Belfasts on a 1972 CB750.
