I am impressed by the officers who jumped in to try to save him.  They cared more about his life than the dude himself.
Yeah, I was surprised to see that kind of dedication.

Here's a crazy motorcycle story from Jan 1st here in good ole' Kalamazoo, Mi. Police attempt to pull a guy over on a motorcycle and he flees a short distance till bike malfunctions and then jumps  into and tries to flee in the Kalamazoo River downtown.  They are still looking for him so they can fish him out. What the hell was he on ??  Good video of the episode.  Please this year try and stay with your bike and don't be jumping into any rivers !!  https://wwmt.com/news/local/kalamazoo-river-motorcyclist-search-chase-rose-harrison-michigan-avenue-license-plate-violation-swimming-current-public-safety-department-crime-investigation-west-state#

I read about a guy, who did not want to get in trouble for riding four wheeler on the road.  After an episode with a state trooper he got shot, wounded was hiding in a corn field and died in a hospital.  Some people - imho - are wired differently.

It would be police bait. If you cut a beer can put and make it a sliding sleeve to slip over your soda can you can mess with others and cause yourself some grief in the process, taking a drink.from.such a decoy it could initiate a traffic stop for certain if you took a big drink from such a can and only be drinking something at a stop that's perfectly legal. But they won't know this until you either reveal it to be such a decoy when stopped. It could mess with people around you at a stop...
Since I wear a full face helmet I couldnt pull that prank.
You better not have anything on your bike you can be cited for to go & try pull a prank.like this...

I took that pic to be of a sort of Coffee Table art sort of thing..rather than being intended to be actually filled with gas and used on a bike. Looking at all the mods on it..it didn't seem to be something that would be practical to use.  My impressions anyway..

You know, that also works with the straw sticking out of your iced tea from Mac's that is sitting in the side pocket of the Vetter, when passing a semi whilst nudging 3-digits on the speedo?

It took me a LONG time to figure out how I got wet after I passed him...

When the Kansas Patrol was using black Vetters on their Kawis out on I-70 (1980s), I got peed on by a trucker (road draft relief tube, inspired by Apollo) when I was drafting him one hot summer's day. Never did THAT again - which was WHY I was passing that truck in TX at those speeds.

Back when I was driving long haul I just stopped to pee. I just wasn't so dedicated that I didn't stop to pee. A couple of times in the beginning I was forced to have a co-driver. Both of them were pigs and peed in bottles which they left rolling around in the cab while I was sleeping. I got my supervisor to get them out of my truck. After that I stayed a solo driver averaging 10k miles a month.

a silicone or plastic lid to pop over the can top could keep the pressure differential from sucking your beverage out of the can... have a couple different sizes and inserts to handle your odd sized cans...soda canscoming towards or through can be a little different due to regional can suppliers for a few things out there...if you wanted a rolling example...

if the chains on that charger were attacked to something substantial I might think they were for moose anti intrusion, Volvo and Saab used to design their cars to keep the moose from ending up in your lap or face if you hit one on the roadway. moose are tall/long legged so generally they are gonna be on the hood or through the windscreen and highly likely to kill you if they intrude into your cockpit in a car...well a bike...it is gonna leave a mark if you hit one, much bigger mark than the deer or even an elk...
Moose are pretty heavy and the long legs for wading in bogs and grazing, or crossing streams, etc... Moose are pretty good swimmers.

It’s always irritating when you notice greenish brown speckles showing up on the visor and then you realize there is a cattle truck up abead. Those speckles can stay aloft a long way behind the trailer. Cows are very adept in aiming their effluvia through the slots in the sides of the trailers. And then there are the a-hole drivers that leave the floor traps open to make it a little easier to clean the trailer out after a haul. Not to mention cow haulers seem to be the most aggressive semi drivers. Always in a hurry. Understandable why for various reasons, but doesn’t justify their disregard for others on the road.

When I was a driver for ten years I had a plastic coffee container I would leave in the back of my truck well secured when nature called. Keep it clean and all was good. One of the reasons was I was not all that fond of highway truck stops/rest areas. I stopped at one one night coming home and some guy came running out of the restroom barely dressed clutching his clothes and hopped in his car and sped off quickly.  Needless to say I did not go through the door but went to my friendly coffee can !!

I can't help wondering why a guy that has a Facebok page with one friend, a few pics and is a person that I don't know would send me a friend request.
He does have a photo of a front engine dragster on his homepage.

Yeah, I found out in Kansas what was in that restroom! It had a big hole in it when I left, though...'twas mostly black, with white stripes...at 1 AM...

I was watching Roadworthy Rescues, the episode where Derek rebuilt the Ford *N tractor.
It mysteriously wouldn't start and when he removed the carburetor the camera angle let us see that there was a red plastic plug in it.
Maybe the explanation got edited out, but I felt like it was a contrived issue. Producers sometimes need some drama I guess, much like the early gas monkey show when the car for some strange reason wouldn't start and you could clearly see the coil wire disconnected. HMMmm

A friend took his Junior Dragster body to a body shop get painted. The guy did a lovely job, got the colors perfect and the finish was flawless. The only defect was that they painted the inside of the body, not the outside.
What was he thinking? Hmmmmm.  Maybe he needed to take the entire car.

I saw a SUV today with a sticker on the back that said "You can take my handicap parking space if you also take my MS". I'm not sure if the owner put the sticker there, or if someone else did after she parked in the wrong place??

Takes a VERY special person (he thinks he’s special) to do that….. Having wheeled my wife around for +8 weeks when she shattered her heel, made me super aware of how much space is required for maneuvering a wheel chair around a vehicle…. I’d have left a note on that one.

I’d have left a note on that one.

Or, you could do like the person who knocked my 750 over in the apartment complex parking lot because he came home drunk: I had the saddlebags on it from a recent trip and he pulled in WAY out of his 'slot' and bumped into my right saddlebag. Then he left his car door unlocked and staggered in, probably early AM.

We won't discuss what happened to his car the next AM...  ::)
