Topic: This Real Yoshi Pipe?

Been looking for a 4-1 genuine Yoshi pipe for a while, seems like one popped up on eBay so I bought it.  Description says it was removed from a Rickman bike and has recently been recoated.

What throws me off now that I calmed down from the excitement is that it's clearly a 2 piece exhaust.  I'm no expert but I thought they only came as a 1 piece.

Any experts know of stamps or markings I can look for when it arrives or tell me if I made a good purchase?

BTW the seller said that badge is a new replacement and hasn't been riveted to the pipe.

It looks the same as my Yoshimura Chrome pipe.
Mine was purchased in 1980 for a 76F1.
It is a two piece pipe that requires removal of the centerstand.
It’s baffle is mechanical with no packing..
 The pipe is short and exits just past the rear axle bolt.
So close to the axle nut and cotter pin that you can only use and open end wrench.
It’s tucked up tight under the engine and and won’t drag in tight right turn.
 Your foot peg will grind before it does..
I’m sure my pipe was one of the early mechanically automated bent pipes..not the hand bent unicorns..
Mine is a flange type that requires exhaust studs. Everything came in the box that was required to install.
My Yoshimura Badge came and is still riveted on the pipe..

I look tomorrow to be sure that my Yoshimura bells up a diameter at the internal baffle.
 I’m thinking it does and that may be the only difference I see other than the obvious black vs chrome..

possibly even bloopyer lol...by the looks of them, when old Pops got done hand bending the pipe with the oxy torch, he just grabbed a filler rod and used the torch to weld it up too

Pipe came in the mail today, coating is in perfect condition (must have gotten it done before posting it).  The fit is amazing, after fiddling with the 4 piece Motad exhaust my expectations were set low and I was pleasantly surprised.  Fired it up to hear the sound and its incredible, not too crazy at idle and I noticed the revs didn't hesitate to climb when I blip the throttle.

BTW I have a gently used Motad exhaust if anyone needs one - only 600 miles on it

After searching a bit, that pipe might be a Carpy Yosh clone.

Saw that, carpy has a slope up after the pedal.  Also the silencer seems to have an end cap.
