I think it was basically RTV

Started putting on a few parts.

Today, I worked on the front forks.  I removed and replaced the 4 axel holder studs, cleaned everything and then polished the aluminum.  You can see the old tubes with the new ones I purchased.

I love Z1parts.net, had them on speed dial when I was restoring my Z1 several years ago. All of the parts I bought from them have held up well [body kit, exhaust, seat, etc]

You did a great job on your Kawasaki.  I also buy my DID rim sets from Z1 Parts as they usually cheaper than other places. 

Several days ago, I was able to contact Ryder3, and he will be passing through Cheyenne in late Oct or early November.  I am looking forward to meeting him.

I installed the wiring harness, coils, handlebars, battery and other things too.  I decided to clean/lube the original ignition switch, so I had to replace the wiring harness round connector with a square one.  Tip:  If you use a reproduction wiring harness, do yourself a favor and open it up and solder all crimped connections (about 6 places).  If you don't solder these wires, you will probably have intermittent electrical issues.

I have continued to add parts to the bike.  I had to deal with a few wiring issues which is pretty normal for one of my builds .  I still need to verify it will charge the battery, but at least the lights work and the turn signals function.  Tomorrow, I will start on the wheels which will be a major affair.  I plan on replacing the wheel bearings, polishing the hubs and installing new spokes into new DID rims.

I can only hope more owners will allow their motorcycle to let them know how they feel:fix them before they break

I got the wheels rebuilt with new bearings, seals, spokes, rims, tubes/tires and balanced them.  I will be installing new rubber pads into the wheels too.  A new heavy duty DID riveted X-Ring chain will be coupled to a 18 tooth front sprocket and 43 tooth rear sprocket.  It is starting to look like a motorcycle .

Just a FYI
The Xring chain will probably rub the chain guard, unless you went to a 520 chain and sprockets.

I installed the wheels, chain, front fender and brake lines. Notice the fender is a new one.  I have the old double-cut fender and decided to worry about it later.  I have worked out the dents, but it needs to be re-chromed.  Maybe I should just sell it...  Also, the chain didn't rub the chain guard.  The CB750 standard chain has 100 links and this is perfect for the 17 or 18 tooth front and 48 tooth rear sprocket.  I had to remove one link for the 18/43 combo.

I am getting close to completing this project and today, I rode it to the end of my driveway which is about 100 feet long.  It started right up and ran perfectly.  The clutch/shifting is smooth as butter and the engine performance seems impressive.  I am very happy with the project so far, but it is not finished yet.  I am waiting on the taillight backplate and hopefully, it will arrive today.  After I get it finished, I will take a bunch of pictures and post them here.

I am pretty much done with this project and very happy with the bike.  Here are some pictures and I hope

Excuse me for interrupting, this is the motorcycle, and I have a few things to say…  I was very sick and almost died, but my new owner, Ryder5, saved my life.  It is really hard to believe I had so many problems including, but not limited to:  cancer all over my body, a bad ticker, broken and cracked body parts, bad case of hemorrhoids, camchainitis, was full of crap and I looked like crap too.  Other than that, I felt like an abused and scuffed up classic trapped in a nursing home.  I will say, the surgery was painful, but very necessary.  I feel and look 50 years younger now, and it is all because of my hero, Cedric.  He is wonderful and I am forever thankful for him.  I will take him anywhere he wants to go and never complain again.

Thanks Stu.  I took Ryder5 for a 10 mile ride and I just wanted to keep running... mile after mile, like Forrest Gump.
