Help with signal lights wiring

1973 CB500

I should have left it alone !

I swapped the LED front signal back to stock signals and blew my 15A fuse twice.

I am using one of the LAMP-LED

I have my right side (throttle) signal working, but my front left (clutch) signal is not working. Currently the wire is disconnected, I tried two connections but they both blew my 15A fuse.

Now my Acewell Speedometer is not showing rpm and speed!

these two green wires in the casing?  NO

(everything worked fine when I was using LED front lights)

where do they go?

I don't know about LEDs, but the normal turn signals on a '76 550 requires the green ground wires to be plugged to the main harness green connectors inside the headlight bucket.

The green wires you are holding in the pic goes to the turn signal grounding bolts on the inside of bucket, yes?

Yes those two green wires are attached to the two bolts inside the housing.

ok here is what I did, found other green female to attach to

now where does the front left (clutch side) signal wire go? It is a single wire.

the orange connectors? this is where my 15A fuse blew. marked by white tape.

MANUAL says orange is for left side signals I even checked and unplugged and it does indeed control the left signal. When I plug in the front stock signal to this 4 way plug it kills my 15A fuse.

You should have an orange / white wire bundle from the main harness to connect it to.

help me understand this green ground wire.

this bold attached to the green housing wire is to ground the bracket?

I attached it to the 3 connectors with the other green ground wires.

Not working

Connected green ground wires as shown.

Attached a single wire from the left signal assembly to the orange cluster, blew my 15A fuse again.

There are only 2 cluster: Orange (for left) and Greyish cluster (for right). The right side works, simple plug into cluster.

Calling it a day, any help would be appreciated, thanks

That suggests there is a trapped or shorted wire in the turn signal

Orange is for the turn signal.
Orange/white(stripe) is the running light which turns off while the turn signal is flashing on that side.
Solid green is ground.

PROBLEM SOLVED: Pinched left signal wire at the frame, exposed wired, from rust/old wire, wired replaced and everything is back up. Thanks everyone.

how about a photo of the finished product

and if you have Venmo I can buy you a beer.

I had LED signals but went back to some OEM signals to preserve the vintage look.
