Main Jet Orentation?
« on: September 05, 2024, 04:21:58 PM »
I'm rebuilding my first carburetor on a 1973 CB500 four. Which way does the main go? The jet size that is stamped, does the face out?

I have it that way (with the main jet holder in place), but the bowl doesn't seat all the way with out applying a lot of pressure.

Thanks

Does the 500 have the 0-ring on the main jet?  If so, that end goes in first and points up.

Number out In my experience. It should not protrude much. Is the emulsion tube fully seated? O-ring engaged?

I ended up flipping the jet, number going inward. Seems to fit better that way.

I should have taken pictures when I took it apart.
