Topic: button lock replacement for fuel lid, CB550F -- where is the thread?

So I'm thinking about replacing the stock lock on my 550F fuel lid with the push button replacement that someone did. The lock is working like a... 50-year-old piece of plastic. It functions fine, but it's a little stiff, and I feel like the push button replacement might be an improvement. This was a discussion several weeks ago, when someone asked if the stock locks were still available. I didn't comment, and now... I can't find the thread. anyone able to point me to it? Thanks.

Thanks... but nope. I'm looking for the push button substitute. It's a fix someone here used instead of a replacement lock. I thought it was kind of cool, and I might replace my stock lock with that...

I know that I saw one on a 77/78 750K push button hack. I thought I had it in my email but can't find it 😕

Boom, thanks Scottly. That was my brain fart -- I was looking for 550 and it was 750. I imagine it would work for the 550 too  but I guess I'll have to take a closer look.
