Size of ground wire munit to battery
« on: September 14, 2024, 08:41:02 AM »
Hi. I have a 76CB750F with munit blue, ricks regulator rectifier and Shorai lithium battery. My munit GND connection is connected to the engine ground wire via a 6 AWG cable. I understand I should/could have an additional ground wire connection from munit GND connection direct to the battery, and use a 14 or 16 AWG wire. Is this correct? Can I use a second, direct GND connection using 14 or 16 AWG wire from battery to GND on munit?

Thanks in advance

Yes. 10-12AWG would be better.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of it's victim may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated, but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis
