DYNA S Munit Power
« on: September 15, 2024, 07:59:56 AM »
Hello! I have a 76 CB750F installing munit blue along with Dynatek DYNA S ignition system (coils and points assembly). I'm getting the following error in my unit iPhone app when I key power on to test system (but not starting). "Overload IGNITION 23.3A". Thought I followed wiring instructions correctly and wondered what is causing error - or if it would go away on bike start. Here is is current wiring:

From points assembly to coils
- White > Blue
- Black > Yellow
- Red > spliced into BLK/WHT

Munit
- BLK/WHT connected into IGNITION Out

I've gone through wire by wire, clearing app and reinstalling each wire on munit 1 by 1. Wondering if I should have wired red direct to AUX Out. Any insight would be appreciated. Thanks!

The IGN out should only be the BLK/WHT to power the coils. The RED for the ignition plate should be wired from AUX.

Understand that the RED is seeking a power source from the mUnit to excite the Dyna. The IGN out is powering the coils. If you feed both the coils and the Dupyna, their combined draw will exceed the amperage of the powered-out circuit.

So yes, split them across two circuits and you should be fine.

Thanks so much again!. Will fix. Much appreciated
