paint
« on: September 09, 2024, 01:21:23 PM »
First post here. I did find a source for the 1974 cb350F "glory blue black metallic". It is VMR Paints in Billings Montana, phone 605-605-4939 [Kalvin]. Just placed order. My original paint appears to have been a re-paint some time in distant past, so I did not feel that a scan would have yielded accurate results

You can also try rs bike paint in UK, https://www.rsbikepaint.com//it-it/colours.php , they’re usually pretty accurate

I cant find it but there was a Dirt bike don vintage paint co. I think that was it. I got a kit from him but that was 15 years ago. He was quite popular.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

Sadly, I think his site is gone. I did a LOT of bikes with his colors. All but the Blue-Green were accurate colors (slightly less metallic on those types than Honda's were), and good quality paint, too. Even the bike on the cover of my book was done in his paint.

Thank you, all. You meet the nicest people on a Honda.
Hondas I've had:
1966 SuperHawk in 1967 [first bike];
1970 CB450;
1980 CBX;
1982 CX500TC;
1974CB350F;
currently have a 1966 SuperHawk and a 1974CB350Four [just bought in mid August]. The 305 is quite modified, the Four is bone stock.

Hi, Richard!
Boy, your SuperHawk brings back memories of mine. I raced it quite a bit back then, and the people I met on Hondas made me who I am today! :D
