1972 CB 750 k2 Seat Trim
« on: September 28, 2024, 05:46:02 PM »
Looking for replacement lower “chrome” seat trim source as I am rebuilding my stock seat.  Only have one
and it was NASU on Amazon.  Price so low and reviews limited to one.  Any help is appreciated.

While it looks different, I have used the [plastic] chrome strips for anti-car-door-dings that you can find in most auto parts stores. They are U-shaped instead of having the little nails on them, so they fit over the bottom edge of the seat pan instead of running along about 1cm above it.
See SOHC4shop@gmail.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

I have used these, but there might be a difference in US and European seats.

Usually these are sold in pre-cut strips that won't go around the seat (or tank) but you can find it in rolls in some places; Space Age Paint in Mesa is where I got mine.
