It has the advantage that the needles do not bounce and removes any dynamic or operator variance possible with a running engine. It also tests all connections and hoses for tiny leaks.

I finally purchased The Digi Sync. It's digital, and I'd say it's the best carb sync tool out there. I love it and won't go back to using any of the other tools I've used in the past. It's just super simple and intuitive to use, and I can get carbs sync'd up so much faster now. No fluids to evaporate or get sucked into the engine. No moving parts to wear out. No restrictors to adjust. Just so simple!

sometimes the more you try to fine tune the worse it gets?

I was there in the past 24 hours.  Took a while but it is done!  Results are superb.
