Got the clear on there. the wait game begins.

Little bit of orange peel so will cut and polish it in a month or so.

Well kinda ducked up a little bit. Was installing the percock and left the tank upside down for a couple hours….

That imprinted some texture at the top. Never making that mistake again. Sanded whole tank flat with 1500 and going for another coat of clear. Did sand through the clear at one spot but did a water test and you can see any halos or color difference so should be good for just clear..

Ugh

Ps sealing the petcock thread with Loxeal 5811 worked great. Way better compared to ptfe tape

Blended it in perfectly and the next layers of clear are almost glass.

Just took her out for a spin… OMG she pulls. Is shouldn’t have but a Lamborghini was at the traffic stop and I couldn’t resist.. send it full… tuned her pretty ok.. almost made a wheely. Now to break her in a bit more

Did great, 1-2sec on the 8k rpm. It was an Urus but he/she didn’t floor it. Didn’t stop me though

I’ll take some good pictures soon when I start polishing the tank. Weather is pretty grim atm.
