« on: September 30, 2024, 03:04:36 AM »
Anybody from Norway / Sweden that has a view on the cutting of frame and use of the weldless frame kit with regards to legislation?

Hi,
Here when I cut my frame
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,62832.msg1505075.html#msg1505075
Here initially with Mikuni VM29  Smoothbores carbs, one year later Mikuni TMR 32.

I should cut same again if I needed.

I have had great use of it. I have lost count of how many head and cyl off I have done. Changed cams for test runs etc.
Open valve cover for inspections etc, etc.

I have removed head, cylinder, HD studs and pistons + everything else for pulling the engine.

Only  CB750 bottom, I used a strap and could swing it out of frame beside bike on a soft surface on the garage floor.
Took it apart for upgrades, still on the floor.
Assemble and everything  back in reverse order.

No need for lifting help.

I think I have shown how I time cam with engine in frame.

Thanks for replies. I am looking for a kit, seems like Scottly was empty and no immediate plans to fabricate new sets.

Search that will be close:
split collar tube clamp

60-70 mm long. My clamps by Frank are ca 61mm
ID must be tight around frame. If 1" will be tight enough.
