K0 headlight question?
« on: September 30, 2024, 07:01:17 PM »
On my k0 one of the tangs broke off of the sealed bulb. It’s one of the two tangs attached to the metal backside of the bulb. They attach with those special pressed metal nuts and they allow the bulb to rotate. So now there’s really not much attaching the bulb to the metal ring anymore.

My question is due to the fact this headlight is different than other cb ones I’ve had in the past. It has 2 layers of metal rings. And the largest ring doesn’t have a lip at the edge, it slides on flush with the outside of the headlight bucket.

Normally I would order some W shaped clips and just use three of those to hold the bulb in place. But I don’t think that’s going to work here cause there’s nothing for the clip to seat against on the large ring.

So do I need to order a whole new sealed beam headlight , and does it need to be a special k0 one? The last time I bought a genuine Honda headlight it was like $70-80.
