2 into 1 fuel line?
« on: March 20, 2007, 05:44:00 pm »
My early 70s tank has a r side petcock w/2 lines. My 78 550 has 1 fuel inlet. What are my options?

Thanks,

If you can get 8 oz of fuel to the carbs in under a minute, you have plenty of flow.  Disconnect your fuel lines and let it(them) run into an 8oz cup while timing how long it takes to fill.

Here's how I figure the rate:

8oz in 1 minute = 1gal in 16 minutes
at say 50 miles per gallon, that would be about 200 miles per hour before your fuel flow would be a limiting factor.  ;D

That doesn't account for wind resistance, so try to keep it at you back.

If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.
