Turn signal behavior

Had to replace left switch for cb 750 k2.  New unit, Tec,is defective.  Went back to old switch.  Left flashes front and rear.  Right side only front.  Trouble light to wires in bucket shows power from main to switch and from switch going back.  However at rear no power per the trouble light.  Power dropping somewhere going back but can’t seem to locate.  All wires connected per diagram but am I missing a ground?

Could be a loose ground in the headlight bucket.

Most obvious is a dead bulb... The signal wire to the rear one could be broken somehow, or the ground to that signal has failed. Check power at the connection to the signal (blue wire?), it goes through a channel in the rear fender as I recall. If you see the flashing power there, check ground.

Bulbs good.  Used light to check current to socket.  Nothing yet wiring in bucket shows positive.

Did you check for flashing power at the connectors under the rear nd of the seat?

Did check for power at connection to faster relay.  One side showed power, the other didn’t.

Pretty sure he means rear end, but as per your check, you said that you have no power at the rear terminals so, go back and check your connections. In the light bucket and where everything joins together in the main harness.
Start with the end in mind...

rear indicators need grounding too - is the ground connection faulty?

If the ground is good, replace the turn flasher.

If one side works as it should, then swap the light blue and orange wires under the seat, if the indicator is good it will light up when the left side is selected, if it doesn't then it's most likely an earth fault on that indicator or a broken wire somewhere between the seat area and the indicator. If it does then the fault lies upstream of the seat area, probably in the loom or the connector from the switch to the wire going to the indicator is corroded etc.

Sorry….. END. Under the seat there are connections for the turn signals. The +feed wire for the turnsignals should have an orange band on one and white on the other. Are they making a good connection? Is there power to both when flasher is on?

Orange and light blue(sometimes faded to white) and at front orange with white stripe and light blue with white stripe for running lights
Semi Geriatric ex-Honda mechanic and MOT tester (UK version of annual inspection). Garage full of "projects" mostly 500/4 from pre 73 (no road tax in UK).

Remember "Its always in the last place you look" COURSE IT IS YOU STOP LOOKIN THEN!

All replies appreciated.  Went from bucket to ND and found grounding terminals corroded or frayed. I was sure I went through the loom two years ago as well as all the subs.  Obviously I was sloppy.  A lesson well learned as I repaired/replaced probably 8 connections.  System now working.  Thanks again to all.

Don't feel bad: I got so frustrated trying to chase down the intermittent dead short in the 550 for my book that I bought a new harness instead(!).
It turns out, the PO installed a (stiffer-than-OEM) PVC jacket sheath over the main harness from under the tank into the headlight, and it kinked in the bend where it goes between the headlight and tank. Inside this kink, the sheath sliced (barely) thru 2 wires (Black and something else with Green/[faded stripe] on it) so when there was car-wash water collected in the sheath and the handlebars were turned left with the key ON, the main fuse would blow. Every time. When dry, no problem, except the electric start solenoid would not then work (probably the Green/something wire).

Then, some of the insulation would crack in my fingers when flexed. Time for a new one, then.
