Hello from new/old 400f owner
« on: October 29, 2024, 05:12:03 PM »
Hello all from the Great Pacific Northwest!

I've just acquired a beautiful blue 400f from one of your members.  There's some photos of it here on this site:
http://forums.sohc4.net/index.php/topic,90807.msg2115138/topicseen.html#new

I originally bought one of these new while in school back in 1976, it was my only wheels for about 10 years, rain or shine.  Eventually, I moved up to 4 wheels, dry and warm, and gave the bike away.  Since then, it's been on my mind now and again.  So now, dream come true - I'm really looking forward to getting out on the road once we have some decent weather.

Its good to know there's a community of like-minded folks here.

Richard

Welcome from the desert southwest of Southern Arizona, where we are finally seeing fall weather, the relief from extreme heat is nice but 20F degrees temp drops are tough to adjust to...feels pretty chilly...
David- back in the desert SW!

Welcome to the forum, Richard!
Congrats on the newly acquired 400F!
I'm a Seattle native and will be returning to the area this summer.
My dad used to own a tavern in Fremont.

I have a few 400's and hope to make it to some of the local events.
I'll be sure to say Hi to you if I see you around.
