Thanks everyone.......good encouraging thoughts.

I'm doing the home PT now, first therapy PT Tuesday.

Next return appointment to doc...7 Nov.

Pain, iis not as bad, just taking tylenol, gave up on the oyxycodine. And simple aspirin for blood clots.

Left knee is really bad too, doc wants me back in here as soon as possible to cut that one up.

Plus rotator cuff tear in te right shoulder that has to wait till these are thru.

Sh1t, I'm a walk pain factory.........been like this since early 2020. already had left rotator done, and neck surgery, no help......still in pain.

Thanks all for hanging with me.

WhyNot2,I imagine your forum name is similar to the knee replacement you need done  ::)
I know what the one member here mentioned about doing the PT:yes indeed.

I have a right foot problem(not too serious)w/ a crooked section that I've been living with for a number of decades and I'm just tired of living with it;I'm right side dominant..
I'm on Medicare and treatment by the majority of Dr.'s out here is Very $ limited.
I finally found a Good Podiatrist who accepts my Medicare and I'm going in on Nov. 7 for 'bone cutting' surgery on it this time(had a mild operation done to it 8 yrs ago, wasn't worth much)and I'll need to be on crutches or in a wheelchair for 8 weeks  :o
I won't be able to ride, drive, etc.,plus I don't know anyone here in this city;not sure what I'm going to do about connecting with someone here who cares, but I'll find out.  ::)
I live on the 2nd floor w/ only stairs and the Dr. said I'm Not allowed to put any weight on it until it's fully healed.
Get your Dr to order forearm crutches so you can maneuver easier. They are far easier to use and are safer to  navigate stairs with than regular crutches are. A friend lent me a pair after my mc accident in 2013, I was living in a basement at the time, I started off on regular crutches and almost fell several times as well as the fact my arms were strained and bruised in the accident. The forearm crutches were life savers. Plus you don't get the arm pit bruises from regular crutches.

Crutches aren't supposed to support you from the armpits. You are supposed to carry your weight with your arms. I have spent more than my share of time on crutches. Last year when I broke my foot the foot specialist told me that I was the only person over 50 that she had seen use crutches correctly. She also said that I was a maniac on crutches as she tried to keep up with me going down the hall to the X-ray room. 8)

The forearm crutches are far safer on stairs then regular crutches are. End of discussion please.

Sorry to hear about the health issues gents. I seem to be in good company. Doctor recently told me I have the body of a 60 year old at the age of 38. Years of abuse will do that.

Hoping we all get sorted in short order.

So PT guy put me thru heck yesterday......only been two weeks since surgery..........I'm now walking with out assistance.

No walker, nor cane. Stiff, but I take it slowly. Going up and down steps are still a step at a time.

Thanks all for the comments.

Hang in there Bill, praying it went well, addressed the issue and your recovery is smooth. Hopefully you can get door dash or groceries delivered while you are apartment bound. Be sure your medical providers know your living situation and what support you have after returning home. They may solicit on your behalf for a rehab facility stay for a week or so until you have better mobility and strength post surgery.

Well, come Monday, it will be 3 weeks since surgery, had my doctor appt yesterday.

All seems fine, they were surprise to see how well I  was doing.

I'm now without any walking aid, and am taking it quite slowly though.

I just fell tightness, but really no pain. I use the RomTech machine they let me use, religiously.

They are coming to get it on Tuesday.      Crap, looking to buying my own pedal machine.....any recommendations?????????
