Cb750 k0 rim identification
« on: November 15, 2024, 08:56:37 AM »
Hi,
I bought a front rim listed as a cb750 k0 type with the accompanying price tag. Now im not sure it is. Can anybody give me an idea? This so i do not argue with the seller for the wrong reason. So it has the did diamond but also the measurement stamped. I thought the k0 has the diamond but not the measurement. Can anybody confirm?

It looks to be a replacement. My Blue-Green K0 has the size stamp because I bought them new during the covid shutdown.

+1. My 1969 has the DID, but no numbers. I’ll grab a photo next time I’m in the shop if you’d like to see it?

A lot of sellers don't care about accuracy or only know what it was removed from. Last winter I got a nice sandcast correct rim, hub, rotor, speedo drive and axle from a well-known seller for a good price on ebay they either just missed it or wanted to move some inventory.

I ordered new rims to my CB750 early 80's.  Might have been 1979-80.
They looked as today's replacements with DID + size numbers on the rim side.
No DID stamp as the photo above. That rim must be old anyway.

Yes that rim i belief is used up to 1974, but i wasnt sure if used on k0 also (ie 1970) and if no marking is for sandcast only.

As far as fitment goes, it's fine as long as it's for 40 spokes. The size numbers do indicate that it's a replacement.

Here's the stamp on a K0 DID rim.
