1980 Suzuki GN 400cc.  Top speed: unknown, experts predict the bike would rattle apart at speeds exceeding 70mph.  That bike almost killed me, or did I almost kill myself on that bike...either way :)

My first bike was my father's BSA A75 Rocket 3 which I inherited when he passed away. Damn I wish I hadn't sold it.

I rode my dad's 1999 v-star 1100 for a few months before I got a 78 goldwing. It was in great shape (other than having to replace the rear master cylinder). The look of the bike wasnt too "cool" but it was mine and I loved every minute of it. I later upgraded to an 82 goldwing. Which I later sold to find my current obsession...a 75 cb750K.

I had a 1966 S90

I rode it on the roads and trails in the Willowemoc area of Sullivan County NY.

Engine would rev to at least 13k, hard to tell exactly, had to extrapolate from gear shift points on speedo. it would freely spin way above the indicated shift point.

Had as many as 3 teenage boys crammed on it, cruising the roads and trails.

It got caught in a flood, became my first restoration, tore it down to drain all water. cleaned, oiled, new battery.  It lit right off and we rode it for years.

Straightened the front forks in our basement window with a set of wood blocks and a small hydraulic jack.  this was after father ran into the back of truck, he might have been impaired...

Still have knob on knee where I took a short flight over a berm and caught the chicken wire fence with knee...

Took Lynn A. up to Blueberry hill, had a great make out session, got to cop my first feel...

Left to younger brother when I went to college, think it wound up in the scrap yard, little brother not much of a wrench.

Life is good...

Wish I had it now.

First and only bike to date is my 1976 cb55f. Bought it about 4 months ago.
Grew up on bikes but never had the money to have my very own.
Now I do!
I cleaned the carbs and when it first started... sigh (tear of joy)...
well it was a beautiful sound.

My first bike was a 1974 CB550 K0 bought in 1981. That went the way of a 1987 K75S and there have been many since then. I now own a 1976 CB550F and a 1971 CB750 K1 as the Honda part of my stable!

First thing on two wheel was some moped. Don't recall make but I had it before I got my '68 Road Runner on the road. I must have been about 15 yrs. old.

First proper bike was an '88 Honda Shadow that I bought new.

My first bike was a 1973 CB350F  (first and current  :P)  I acquired it a couple of months ago.  I used to race bicycles, and always thought a motorcycle would be a lot more fun and I wouldn't have to put forth physical effort.  Parents forbade it, but I moved out after college, gave a good ole eff you to the folks and am now riding the sweetest bike ever.

As a kid, a Kawasaki MT75.

Skip forward 25 years or so to my adult life, a 1971 CB500 if you don't count the '72 CB500 yard art that was given to me before I bought the '71.

So, the strategy is to lie to people you are asking for help?

I think I'll be busy going for a ride.

Good luck!

'81 KZ440, just like this but blue.

It wasn't that fast, barely did the speed limit on the highway, dropped a cylinder in the rain, but got really good mileage (when gas was cheap) and was fun to ride.

the one time I managed a wheelie on it it was wet out and one cylinder would drop out under 3000 rpms or so. Well, I was siting at a light and when it turned red I gassed it as much as I could in an effort to not piss off the people behind me. Suddenly the other cylinder kicked in and the front wheel came straight up! I grabbed the clutch and closed the throttle and never forgot again.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.
