Wavy Oil Ring Installation Question
« on: November 29, 2024, 12:59:48 PM »
I'm putting in the oil ring on a CB500 Four piston, and the expander (the wavy one) seems to want to overlap the end of the ring; should the ends be butted up against one another, or is the overlap okay? Seems to me that will get in the way of the piston going into the cylinder...the rings were purchased from CruzinImage for the CB500F 56mm Standard rings...

They butt against each other.
