Lol...degreaser and water?

All joking aside, are you trying to clean painted material or are you trying to clean and paint fresh

Plastic brushes and degreaser.  I use a spray bottle of kerosene and a toothbrush.  After that I may just touch up spots, or strip for paint.  Bamboo barbecue skewers work great to pic dirt & grease out of the corners.

I use brass brushes, tooth brushes, engine degreaser, orange degreaser, etc.
Engine out of the bike or in it?

Sometimes I glue squares of Scotchbrite to paint stir sticks or make sticks with the table saw to scrub between the fins. Weather strip adhesive works good and you can peel off the worn pieces to glue fresh ones on.

That’s what I’ve done with mine, in fact almost identical to yours.:) My valve cover is shiny. Top end going together next couple weeks once YAMIYA/Riken order comes.

Boy, Medyo: what is there to re-balance the right side of the bike? That's gotta be heavy!

That was a photo of the sand cast on the engine stand? No fins on the oil filter canister.

Hi
Been doing a bit of cleaning my self and found the best way (for me) is the steam cleaner
lots of steam and continuous steam
Add a bit of simple green and go to town add a tray under the engine that catches the small amount of water and grime and no mess in the shop

Gets right in to all the tight spaces and cleans out the oil and grime
cleaned my CB750K7 was a quick way of doing it and my CX500TC and my CX500C and a lot of parts

I've thought of buying a small steam cleaner to do the motors. Guess it's time for me to find one.

I imagine that really helps loosen the grease and the road tar from the underside.

I've seen one "balanced" with a magneto on the right side.
