Looking at it takes me back to the hot, humid Midwest Saturday nights at the strip....

Thanks, it's been a fun job re-assembling it from the truckload of parts and a rolling frame. I really wanted to honor the vision of the PO, Steve Egli.
He wanted the Hondas to have a good home and picked me to be the next keeper of the bikes.
The RC pipe really isn't as loud as a Kerker, that said, I did re-wrap the baffle with rock wool to take the edge off of it. It challenged me a couple times with an unhooked wires and stuck rings, but that's the part I like.
I posted these two pics on facebook, Steve (the PO) liked it and RC jr. liked it, as well as Terry and a batch of my other friends.
On Facebook, a guy named Dave F commented "nice bike" on it and Steve told him that it was his paint job! I'm not sure if he painted it or owned the tank once.

Mark, this bike came from Metamora and it was raced at Havana, Peoria and other area tracks so you might have seen it back then.

Thanks for the nice comments, even Russ Collins Jr. mentioned on facebook that it is very similar to one he had back then. Russ, Mark and others being reminded of the early days of 750's at the track was exactly my goal. I kept some less than perfect finish parts because of history.

The latest iteration of the Rat Race. Changes are the turn signals, K&N's and brake updates some of which are in the other pictures.

Hey Don...I really like your bike and this pic of your bike and plan to use it in the BOTM calendar, ok?

BTW - Don called it "Hot Rod" in the BOTY thread and you call it "Rat Race", which do you prefer?  Thx
