Newbies start here !

First of all, a very warm welcome to SOHC4.net - you will find a world of information here, as well as jokes, political incorrectness and the ramblings of die hard old bikers  8)

If you intend to hang around a while, please complete some housekeeping jobs:

  • Fill in your bio under "Profile" - it helps us to know who and where you are.
  • Introduce yourself here (no rules - just say hello and tell us about your bikes)
  • Register with the Gallery on http://gallery.sohc4.net  - please use the same username!
  • Create a new album in the Member Galleries and upload some pictures of your scoot
  • Put yourself on the Google Members Map (see below)

Please note that you will not be able to post in the Classifieds section until you have at least 5 posts. Apologies for this but we have had to do it to discourage spammers and the more obvious commercial posters.
You are also required to have at least 5 posts before being allowed to post links, attachments (pictures) or send pms (Personal Messages)

There is a Forum FAQ here that will help some questions about Stars, Ranking, posting pictures, uploading avatars and embedding YouTube videos.

Forum Rules

the following summarizes the rules of behavior on the Single Over-Head Cam 4 Forums:

1) Play nice with the other members
2) Argue the point, not the person. That means no personal attacks (or counter-attacks) and no provocative replies or comments.
3) Conduct yourself as you would in a public place. If you wouldn't swear like sailor in public, try not to do it here either.
4) Open sharing of ideas and content is important. Links to and promotion of other forums and content IS ENCOURAGED!  However, if you are promoting something in which you have a commercial interest, it is expected that you will make a donation to help cover the costs of providing these forums.
6) Don't take things too seriously, chill out, life is short, have a laugh.

Most of all, enjoy the forum.

If you feel a post violates these rules, use the link to report it to the moderators and let us deal with it.  Posts that violate our rules are subject to removal without explanation.  Members who repeatedly violate our rules will be warned and, if these warnings are ignored, asked to leave.

Here's How to Put Yourself on the Google Members Map

  • Go to the Google SOHC Member Map
  • Log into Google, which you can do right on the map page. If you don't have your own Google/Gmail account, you can use this account:
        Username: sohc4membermap
        Password: sohc4member
  • Find your location on the map
  • Click the "Edit" button (found to the left of the map at the top of the member list)
  • Locate the "Push Pin" icon at the top of the map
  • Drag the icon to where you live
  • Add details
.

Tips:

  • A fast method to find your location is to enter it in the search box
  • Some members have suggested putting your push pin over the center of your town if privacy is desired. If so, simply enter your city and state (or equivalent) in the search box to find it
  • You can easily move the push pin or change the details after you place it on the map
