I've had them break just above the threads. They weren't ones I installed so I'm not sure if they were overtightened or how long they were in place, but no Champions for me.

always use the same handling and tightning , the top part was still in the spark plug head so it must have broken while I was driving last... I never had that with denso and ngk. I always heard small pops in the exhaust at idle and first thought of valve clearance. then clean small jets and synchronize carburetor. the strobe was also not always constant when reading ignition timing. so the cause of all this was probably due to that spark plug. such a shame because they really give a punch compared to other brands.

Were you using the proper thin wall spark plug tool to install the plugs?

similar only slightly sturdier in wall thickness but no pot wrench for ratchet! and a rubber to hold spark plug centered . but the 1st and 4th isn't any problem to install 2nd and 3th are far more difficult . did a short ride with the denso's today by 4 degrees celcius 😬
