I didn't see the sun today, but I did get out and complete #25 this afternoon, 59.4 miles.
It was 33°F at noon with just a bit of wind, roads were pretty clear and the salt was beginning to fade away.
I headed out at 12:15, traffic was slow and red lights were plentiful for the first ten minutes or so. At about the 15 mile mark I started hearing the sound of another bike riding behind me, but I couldn't see one in my mirrors or when I turned my head, I'll just assume it was Frank riding along and forget about it, the sound went away after a few miles but I didn't see any other bikes.
It took about an hour to get to my regular spot in Gloucester. I took a few pictures and turned west once again. After a mile or so I stopped for a hot cup of coffee and bought a Powerball ticket, it's up to a billion dollars again, so I payed the $2 stupid tax and I'll take my chances.
Having regained fine motor functions in my fingers I continued west, feeling a bit warmer was nice and it lasted for a good few miles. The ride back was uneventful. Close to home I tanked up with 89 octane and I took the battery out of the bike when I got home. I'll get a cover on it for the winter soon.
This has been the best riding season I've had in a long time, plus I met the challenge.
Here's to you Frank, and thanks again to all of you for encouraging me all year.
