I'm still waiting and watching the weather for my chance at #25.
Hopefully it'll warm up and get a good rain to wash the salt off the roads for you.

Looking at the forecast, this Thursday might be the day.

Dennis, is that you on the red CB?
It’s certainly not Blue.

Hahaha, not me, just Google AI's idea of what an older guy on his vintage Honda CB750 should look like.  Obviously AI is not at all safety conscious... parked on the highway with no safety gear or helmet.  He does look as though he's enjoying himself...

#94, 12-6-2025. 53 miles. Road was clear and dry, temp was 35F, getting out of the driveway was a challenge but aok after that. That was Saturday, snowed a few inches more Sunday. Riding when it is below 32F is a bit dicey because even state routes have a lot of box culverts and other such things that freeze even if the most of the road is ok.

The “window” has truly CLOSED here….. 6F overnight and snowed for the past 72 hours!

72 hours, wow. What was your snowfall total?

Thursday didn't work out for me, temps are below freezing and winds are gusting into the low 40s mph.
I'm looking closely at this Saturday.

Generally 12-16” everywhere. Nice and light, the old FORD pushed it aside easily. Pulled the battery out of the Varadero today and put it on the “Trickle Shelf”. So sad.

It is still in the high 20s here in southern NH, Wednesday and Thursday are forecasted to get to 40°F but Alan might brave it today. It's partly cloudy here east of him @40 miles and the sun is trying to show through.

I didn't see the sun today, but I did get out and complete #25 this afternoon, 59.4 miles.

It was 33°F at noon with just a bit of wind, roads were pretty clear and the salt was beginning to fade away.
I headed out at 12:15, traffic was slow and red lights were plentiful for the first ten minutes or so. At about the 15 mile mark I started hearing the sound of another bike riding behind me, but I couldn't see one in my mirrors or when I turned my head, I'll just assume it was Frank riding along and forget about it, the sound went away after a few miles but I didn't see any other bikes.
It took about an hour to get to my regular spot in Gloucester. I took a few pictures and turned west once again. After a mile or so I stopped for a hot cup of coffee and bought a Powerball ticket, it's up to a billion dollars again, so I payed the $2 stupid tax and I'll take my chances.
Having regained fine motor functions in my fingers I continued west, feeling a bit warmer was nice and it lasted for a good few miles. The ride back was uneventful. Close to home I tanked up with 89 octane and I took the battery out of the bike when I got home. I'll get a cover on it for the winter soon.

This has been the best riding season I've had in a long time, plus I met the challenge.
Here's to you Frank, and thanks again to all of you for encouraging me all year.

Sure it counts
Many of my Moms family are Canadians, but my grandparents didn't stick there, they came on to Detroit.
Grandma and Grandpa crossed an ocean from Scotland to Canada to America.
I made it across the city limits, WTH?

Thanks Per!

I'm thinking about getting an early start in 2026, i can ride to work all week on 5 gallons of fuel instead of 20 gallons. I have a set of real Vetter Hippo Hands around here somewhere, and I'm thinking about making some sort of wind deflectors for my legs... I guess it's the road salt that I should be concerned about. But this isn't an old bike, and there are plenty of them around.

Spring is when rides feel extra good. I did some before July.

A ride is perfect after work to calm down. Cruising around on country roads with almost no traffic.
Start earlier in the morning to leave earlier ;D

I agree. Riding to work I leave at 05:20 to arrive at 06:40. But it's a great route of twisty back roads with hills and a few small lakes, often for the first 55 minutes I have the road nearly all to myself.
My driving route is all highway and just 35 boring minutes.

Way to go Alan!  Well done, and congratulations.

After almost a month of crappy weather, I snuck in a short ride through the country side yesterday between the wind and rain drops.

Winter has not been kind to Ohio this year.  We have already had a single snowfall of slightly over 6 inches and temperatures well below zero.  Reminds me of what our winters were like when I was a child.
