+1 Me too!

Ride #6 in the books today.  70.4 miles.  Was another nice day for this time of year, but I think I over did it a bit today.  After 15 months of cancer treatments I've been working to get some strength back.  I felt great this morning and did some yard work and even run the chainsaw a bit.

Today's ride featured several school buses, a good bit of windy weather, and lots of traffic.  Thought I'd get a photo of some old barns but too much traffic and no safe place to get off the road.  When I came through Westville I had intentions of getting a Post Office photo but was too tired to stop and just wanted to get home...  With the last couple days rides, this mornings work around the house and then an hour and a half on the bike today, my butt was kicked by the time I pushed the Yamaha back into the garage.

Still hoping to do some miles Thursday and Friday before the weather goes south but I'll have to see how I'm feeling in the morning.  Sorry for no photos, I've been trying to do a bit better on that front this year!

Got in ride #3 today for 104 km. Was 4c but sunny. Tomorrow hopefully a much longer trip if the temp gets better.

Happy birthday Terry, and get well soon.  Looking forward to seeing you back on the forum.

Ride #7 today, 88.9 miles in total.  Was going to ride the CBR today, but she wasn't having it, so I took the NC700X instead.  Headed south on SR 41 to South Charleston.  The same folks who fixed my furnace built a new grain center in South Charleston.....

Continued south on SR 41 to South Solon.....

In Solon I headed east on SR 323 to Sedalia.....

In Sedalia to headed north on SR 38 up through Newport and then on to London where I picked up SR 56 north to SR 4 south.

Followed SR 4  to SR 54 and then various back roads back to the house.  Was another beautiful day with temps near 70F, light wind and blue sky.

I ought to know that: Dan Cleary played a part in the Red Wings success. I see that he has a front office job with the Wings these days.

Hi Kevin, yes it is starting to green up a bit around here.  This weeks weather has been nothing short of delightful.  Forecast is calling for mid to upper 70's today, but falling temperatures and rain for the weekend.   :(

Oh well, MotoGP is at Termas de Río Hondo in Argentina this weekend and Marc is starting look like he's back on form.  Should be an entertaining weekend!

Ride #8 today, 62.7 miles just meandering state routes & back roads.  Started out with a quick trip to the market for some produce to complete dinner for tonight then headed north on SR 41 for the long way home.

Traveled through Lawrenceville, North Hampton, and Alcony before rolling into Troy.  In Troy I headed east on SR 55 and continued onto county roads when 55 veered off to the right.

Stopped by a quite little reserve located between SR 55 & US 36.  The wind was starting to pick up some thing fierce so I started heading home.  The gusts were so strong they were upsetting my line through long flowing corners.

Lots of sunshine with temps around 70F.  A pleasant ride, but could have been much better without the gusty wind.  The weather service has issued a wind advisory with south winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 45 mph but it isn't supposed to go into effect until 2:00am Saturday...

Did 130 km. today for ride #4. Since I had the stitches out of my knee three weeks ago it seems like my limit is around 120-130 km. before it seizes up and makes it not very easy to get on and off a KLR.
Might be the temps too, today was the warmest yet at +8c.

Ride #9 today, 60 chilly miles to Piqua Ohio & back.  It was one of those days were it looks much nicer than it actually is.  Just a few miles from the house, I was wondering what I was doing as the cold humid temperatures soaked through my riding gear and into my bones.  I was wishing I was on Blue and enjoying the protection afforded the fairing.

Gas prices here locally jumped by 55 cents a gallon, and I believed that was a good reason for a trip north to Piqua were gas was still $2.45 a gallon.  Run into a Walmart to thaw out a bit before the return trip.  Bike ran great!

It’s suppose to go to +17c on Wednesday but the snow is so deep around my shop I don’t think I can get any bikes out yet!

Ride #10 today, 70+ miles way off the beaten path.  Started the day giving the NC an oil & filter change.  Naturally, I needed to take the bike for a ride after working on it.

It was a lovely day with mild temperatures, but just a bit breezy too.  I headed off into the sticks to visit some of my childhood haunts.  Along the way, I stopped by the Fletcher Chapel Cemetery to visit with Grandma & Grandpa.  The cemetery is listed as being in Harmony Ohio, but it's quite a ways out in the boondocks from Harmony.

Next little village was Plattsburg.  They are tearing down part of my old elementary school there.  Just a crossroad and a church in Plattsburg... On to South Vienna, my junior high school was there, but it's been torn down too!

Down the road a bit to Catawba.  It's another little village in rural Ohio.

One last stop on the way home.  These are registered "Red Angus".  If they taste as good as they look sign me up!  Never heard of Red Angus always thought they were all Black Angus.....

They all come running to the fence to chat, but were bummed out when I didn't have the turbo charged Yamaha.  They are rather unimpressed with the potato potato sounding engine in the NC.   ;)

I don't think that I've had red angus.... nor heard of it either.

I got out on the wing today, it was 48° here in southern NH at 1:30 to start off, promised to be 56° which I saw momentarily when I stopped by a friend's house to check out his new to him 2002 Mean Streek 1500. We went for @35 miles back road as it was his shakedown ride and he also had to get back to do a meeting, I continued on to stop by a couple other friend's houses, then shopping for dinner with a return trip back to the market as the cashier forgot to get a replacement pack of blueberries that spilt out at the checkout and I didn't notice they didn't get to me until I got back home, so returned to retrieve them for putting on my cereal in the morning.
Total for ride #1 for 57.3 miles,  43°(low temp) when I put the bike away after sundown, sure was glad to have the fairing and heated grips!
Back in the game sure feels good even if it is cool out.

#5 today for 128 km. First day on the Goldwing this year. Ended up at Anna Mae’s restaurant for cherry tarts and see they are renovating, always busy! Came across a different style of wing parked next to me when I got back to the bike. Interesting! Stopped at the dam and the ice is breaking up, high water everywhere.

Maybe that different wing was an 84 GL1200 Standard (originally the last naked wing) and the bags and fairing were added. Did it have dial gauges on it?
