Changing brass from original or carb brand to whatever is in current kits is almost always a mistake. 4 into 1 is known to sell cheap Chinese junk and their service after the sale for any legitimate issues is non-existent. Avoid them

I may put the brass that was in the carbs back in but I suspect they aren't the original parts.
There should be a stylized K on the Keihin brass

Nice camera! :)

Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought the US model '77 550F (and all 550F models) came with 069A carbs with #98 main jets?? Original post says it is a 550F!
John

069A's  are correct for U.S. '77 models.

Still too busy doing building work to check but haven't forgotten to see if I can help.

Just found my stash of carb parts, I have some others somewhere but the building work has trashed the house and they could be anywhere.

I have 3x550 emulsion tubes, they have graduated holes, larger to smaller as they go down, they also have an extra hole in the side that the 500 carbs don't get. I may find another but maybe I won't, it depends on how lucky I am.
I have 4 mixture screws, solid, no drillings at all.

I have removed the needles from 2 of the carbs and they are stamped 273004, I presume the other 2 will be the same.

I also have 38 pilot jets and 98 main jets.

What exactly do you need? All are genuine with Keihin markings.

As suspected, 4 needles all bearing 273004, 5 grooves BTW. Still no sign of another 550 emulsion tube though.

those graduated hole emulsion tubes are the ones to use, also, just chamfer the openings a touch with a twist drill with thumb and index finger.
