Shops in Maryland or Virginia?
« on: January 17, 2025, 07:45:06 AM »
I've been tinkering with my bike for a while, and I really want it on the road next season. Looking for a shop to help me finish the project.

Welcome aboard the forum paddy from NH.
What bike do you have? What do you need to get it finished?
Sorry I don't know of any shops down that way.

Thanks, fellas
I've been trying to get mine up and running for the past few years, and I'm about to throw in the towel with life, work, family drama, etc.

Things it needs:

The inside of the tank is rusty. I didn't realize that and ran it for a few minutes, and the carbs need to be rebuilt.
The front brake doesn't work- probably install a new caliper and disk
A little cable management after my m-unit install. Everything works properly, but some under the seat cable management.
Speedo not mounted
Speedo magnet not installed
The starter solenoid isn't mounted in the undertray

Bike details:
It's 1976 Honda CB550
Brat/Cafe bike: Powder-coated wheels.
Rebuilt carbs from Keith on Ebay.

CognitoMoto rear sets
CognitoMoto Billet Top Triple Clamp
CognitoMoto  LED Turns and Brake Z-Flex array
Antigravity battery

Delkevic 4into1 Stainless Steel Headers
MotoGadget M-Unit bluetooth
MotoGadget wiring
MotoGadget M-Grips
MotoGadget turn signal m-Blaze Disc
MotoGadget m-Switch Mini Push Button Housing Black
MotoGadget Chronoclassic
MotoGadget Motoscope classic and Chronoclassic Mounting Cup

New Firestone tires
Ikon Fork Springs installed into front forks
New rear shocks

She looks amazing, but needs some love.

Yeah, I've read some stories about them, but I like the look.

Don't throw in the towel, just step back and pick one item to work on, even if it takes another year to get it going.

One thing at a time, then go to the next, you'll get to the finish line.
