That's awesome. I should do a poll who is younger than their bike.
In 82 I had a touring type K3 750 and was assembling my 40 Chevy coupe, I got my wife to sit in the passenger seat and took off down the road, she almost fainted. We got it in 73 and I had stopped work in 78 when I took a pay cut for a plumbing apprenticeship, she never thought that I'd actually make it run and drive.
It's got a 350 chevy with a Muncie 4 speed, it's still fast. I built the motor in 81-82. It's a 4-bolt main truck 350 with 71 double hump heads, edelbrock intake, Holley 650, L79 cam and a corvette oil pan. 9" ford rear end out of a 57 Edsel, mustang II front end and 4 link suspension on coil-over shocks.
That's probably why I didn't get more serious about a GL or a CBX. Last year, I did get the 81 GS1100E. Dollar for Dollar, the most arm stretching bike you can get right now.
