The images I have for these bikes are quite old and not high enough resolution to make the publisher happy with my choices for this next book. If you have one or a few, I need crisp, clear images of these:

CB500K1
CB500K2
CB500K Euro version (there is a distinct Euro and a German version of these) in both "F" and "K" versions
CB550F1/2/3
CB550K7
I'd be happy to attribute them to you in the book!
See SOHC4shop.com for info about the gadgets I make for these bikes.

Blood is thicker than water, but motor oil is thicker yet...so, don't mess with my SOHC4, or I might have to hurt you.

My 550F1 is stock minus a braided brake line and in pretty good shape. Likely you can find a complete restoration but if not happy to send photos.

Weren't the 550Fs O, 1 and 2?

That would be terrific: I've only found real low-grade photos of the Euro bikes

Send it along: I may need 'parts' of them, too. I was blind-sided yesterday with this resolution thing: they never made mention of it until I was trying to submit my book's cover and they took exception to the pictures I had on the front.

I've found records of both F0 and F3 in this journey, so it makes it hard to be sure. Most of them are for the 1/2/3 series, though, so I left out the specific numbers in the book - for that reason. I ran into that with the first book, too, when Euro 750s never went past the K2 until the "F" series appeared. I'm already finding it with the 400F series, too. Japan has its own versions as well: my favorite one to try to find info on there is the rare CB250 SOHC4. I saw Japanese pix of a CB125 SOHC4 bike, a racer, but in poor condition. I've seen better shots of the 2-cylinder 50cc watercooled racer which was said to go over 20k RPM, but that was in the 1970s.

I think I'm beginning to understand how archeologists feel?  ::)

Need a 550K2 (1976) ?

Looks stockish, except for paint color.

Yes! I have the 1975 version as the "star" of the book, but in mediocre paint and broken R side cover, so it poses poorly. I haven't been able to paint it yet, due to weather conditions this past month or so.

I presume you have this one Mark, best image I've seen of a Starlight Gold 500. Might have been an official Honda picture at the time. Seems to be wearing the original Bridgestone Ditch finder tyres, beyond scary in the wet.

Weren't the 550Fs O, 1 and 2?

eh, for U.S. Honda in the Identification guide,  officially the '75 was an FO and the F1,F2 didn't show up.
Also no mention at all in my honda ads, period magazine reports, assembly instructions, 1st edition honda parts book.
But then there's the honda Japan postcard...
Nothing wrong using F1, F2....I'd say
research can be interesting with honda.

Even more interesting is the Honda production numbers for all of the SOHC4 bikes! While I mostly tracked the 750, I finally came to realize that the numbers were made for the viewers, with Honda personnel making those figures to be what they wanted them to be for that 'market'.
