Hi there gang...does anyone have any experience with these. More specifically the basic black.

Nice jacket but good Lord, I paid that for 2 of my bikes. Check www.newenough.com they usually have some pretty good deals and I've been real happy with their customer service. Shop around, there's alot of good full leather jackets for about half that price. I usually go to the local bike shop and try on what I want then buy online.

all my stuff is spidi and I am very happy with it. my daytona leather jacket is still going strong after some eight years of use.
thing is that with the current dollar-euro rate the stuff is expensive in the US.

The Spidi says it's only 1.1mm cowhide leather... The Fox Creek V 1.8 is 1.6mm-1.8mm cowhide and very well constructed (I have their vented racing jacket and it is VERY comfortable).

But I'm the type of guy who'll take more protection over a brandname any day.

It is a good jacket if you have a slim upper body build. If you have wide, thick shoulders, it may be tight up top.

I was just about to post that. So far, I've only purchased a set of the deer tour gloves-awesome!, but one of their jackets is in the future.

Just got this Hein Gericke from new enough.....wow what a nice well built jacket and a great deal....new enough has super service as well as prices.

Did you check out the jacket Roland Brown is wearing in his CB92 Benly article in the Mar/Apr Motorcycle Classic rag? It's all black with thick yellow stripe running from neck down the sleeves. It's got just the classic look I like.

I've emailed editor who contacted Roland and promised to get back to me as to who made it. Very coooooool jacket.

Nice, at least now I have plenty to think about. Everyone should save those pics so you can say look at this, That is in 30 years when evryone is wearing them. I know you have seen the movies. THAT is the future!!!!! That tricky II is a bad ace! So is that jacket of Rolands' Like lots of others so I guess I will shop around.

I would not agree that Spidi jackets are for the slim upper body. I think they're built for the typical American gut!

It's hard to find a jacket that fits in the midsection if you're muscular with a small waist. It seems most motorcycle gear companies sell to the normal American body type, while those who are fit are stuck with clothing that's too big in the gut, or have to get it altered to fit.

I have a Spidi jacket, as well as a set of 1-piece Spidi track leathers. I took the waist of the leathers in, and stopped wearing the jacket because of all the excess in the middle.

Beware, the models in the Spidi ads (and every other brand's ads) have the rear of the leathers pinched together to fit them better.

For a top-quality jacket, try Vanson. Yeah, they're expensive, but made in the USA and the quality is amazing. I can see mine being around long enough to hand down to grand-kids or great-grand-kids, as long as I take care of it. The leather, finish, work and stitching are incredible.

That would explain the tan seat in your avatar photo, seats should be black.
