Topic: to keep or not to keep 'hard lines"??

I'm about to order some speigler braided lines to finish my dual disk setup, and I am "him-hawing" over keeping the 9" hard lines into the calipers as to keep the lines inside the fork tubes for a nice clean stock look. OR just run them right into the calipers and avoid the extra fitting... any thoughts/ experiences???

More fittings to me mean more places for a possible leak.  I ran a single line from the master cylinder to the caliper and kept it inside the fork tube.  Not sure what kind of clearance you have, but I used a 30 degree banjo fitting at the caliper.  I secured the brake line to the fork lower with a couple of zip ties.  Always meant to go back and fabricate a better hanger for the line, but it's been working well like this for a couple of years.

I ran straight to the caliper too. Fits just fine. I went with the HEL lines and they are slim so they run through the same places the hardline did.

I had initially got straight to the caliper but I had to cut about 1/8 off the banjo bolt to make it fit correctly.  I've since went back to using the hardline with proper coupler without any issues.  I'm using Russel Stainless lines.

Thanks fellas!,  I think I may have to go with the HEL's the are $30 cheaper for me in OHIO.

where did you get the hardline. The main reason i went direct was cause i couldn't find a new hard-line.

Go to autozone and buy a 9 inch metric brake line then bend it to shape. They cost about $5 each. Take your old one with you to match up the ends.

Its the stock hardline.  Just reused it.  Doing dual disks this summer and have a complete caliper assembly with bracket/hardline I'll be reusing too.
