Stripped Countershaft Bearing Support Screws
« on: March 25, 2007, 08:38:28 AM »
I assume this support has to come off if I'm splitting the cases, it sure looks like it does, unlike the rotor assembly.

Two of the screws are now stripped even though I use an impact driver on all screws.  Did anyone have this happen ever? I'm going to try plan A, the sears screw extractor, then plan B, drilling out the screw.  Stop me if I'm off on anything here, thanks.

I ended up having to Drill out the screw heads, which freed the bracket.  I guess the drilling worked loose the screws because I was then able to turn them out by hand woo!  Crank am out of the cases.
