in my Gauge search i stumbled across the KOSO gauges as well - unfortunately the US selection was a bit limited.
they looked like good gauges though.

i really liked this one

but it isn't available over here

That would look really slick inside a Rickman fairing.   Hmmmm, been thinking about that for my next project, may have to see if I can locate that dash.

Kinda pricey but i like this unit...if i go ahead with the ideas i had on the K4 i may just use this one to help modernize the old bike.

Well my veypor is mounted and in semi working order, the tach won't register above 2000 rpm, so I need to figure that out.
I will post a few pics in a few days when time permits.

NO resistor wires yet, I contacted Trail tech about the tach issue and they suggested I wire into the coil input. I'll try it, if no improvement I'll ask them for the resistor wires.

They told me to wrap it 2 or 3 times less around the plug wire because I was getting erradic signals

haha, they told me that as well.
i tried wrapping it only 4-5 times (as they said). NO difference
I tried connecting it to the input of the coil... NO difference
and while i waited for them to send my new Resisted Lead, i had it completely unplugged.... some difference. It still managed to pick up a signal.

it seems the resisted leads work better, but i havn't been able to test it on the road yet. Only in my garage.

Ya, mines a little bouncy like that.  I've pretty much chalked it up to buying a $100 tach/speedometer/whatever-the-hell-else-it-does.  Works good enough but the tach sucks.

Finally snapped some pics.  The unit is mounted with supplied mount, a little plastic dealie bob.
Today I scored a handle bar set back bracket and hooked it up in reverse to add some length to the riding position, on my initial test ride felt a little weird, readjusted the bars and have yet to test ride the new position.
Here are a few pics of the mounted computer, sans tach leads.

Motorcycle parking and the blasted smoking area blend together at work, and as you know these bikes vent a lot of vapors right out of the caps on a hot day, I guess I was trying to make a point.
The theme I am running with on this bike is the rolling tetanus shot waiting to happen.

They are super accurate once you set them up.  I love the one I put on my suzuki.  As far as brightness goes, I think someone 3 cars behind you could see that dash.  It's very bright at night.  My only gripe is the tach but I haven't really done much as far as trouble shooting.  OK, I've done nothing.  I've got 2 good Honda 750's to ride, why would I mess with a suzuki?

So did you install the Classic yet?  How does it work?  Inquiring minds need to know!  Thanks.   RR

Hey, thanks for the response, 750SS.  The Classic is a premium unit and I'd really like to find out if the tach stepper motor is stable.  $500 is serious money, but I love the look and integration in the Avon fairing shown in the photo above.  I have some other questions regarding its use with an ARD magneto, but I suppose if I'm really serious about the purchase, I could contact the manufacturer for specific installation information.  However, please give us your first-hand impressions of any installation and usability issues when you have the unit working.  Thanks again!  RR
