'Keddie, I've locked the 63a cam in my motor and am ready to go. I'll give ya a call this evening if you like and we can go over how to put it where you want it. I don't have the exact #'s I ended up with on me at the moment, but basically I squared up the cam and "cheated" the cam so that the exhaust closed 2 degrees later.

Example:

Square cam-  Intake open  24

                             close  46

                 Exhaust  open  45

                              close  24.5

"cheat" the cam so that exhaust closed at 26(two degrees later), this moves the power band up slightly in the rpm range. I was originally 4 degrees late on the exhaust and Webcam said that I would be good for what I wanted, but I wasn't comfortable with making that much of a jump from spec.

I think my lobe centers are 100.5 exhaust/ 98 Intake, just like Mrieck calculated. I'll post my exact #'s tonight for reference, though I doubt we will come up with the exact same readings.

I did compare the readings at .040" lift/zero lash to those on my 125/65 cam and they are very similar. Hard to tell but the exhaust might stay open a "smidge" later. Good thing for high rpm's I am told. :)

Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame
