I have 650, but what i did (frequnetly lately, as i was having trouble with starter clutch - solved now!) was:
Take a socket wrench size 24
dremel it out to form a tool to remove the special nut
block the engine - 2 ways - easy way, put on side stand, step on rear brake, and go!
2nd way - block the transmission either using special tool, or wooden stick in the wheel, or a coin between the cogs
And there you go, you should have the clutch off....
