Agreed.  Check out craigslist in your area to get an idea for the local market.  Here in WI bikes can be a little cheaper due to the limited riding season.

Thats a better deal the the one my neighbours had, 78 GL1000 with 80000KM for $2500.

KBB shows a value of $3030 for an excellent condition Interstate, not all that bad.  I paid $4K for mine (84' Aspencade) with 28Kmi and a CA sidecar, needed a little cleaning but I'm not dissappointed at all.
