Hello from the cornfields of Nebraska

Hello, and thank you for allowing me to join!

I just purchased my first assembled vehicle.  The engine is a CB750K1, placed in an AEE frame, with a springer front end on it.

Not a bad score for $1000, in my book.

The engine seems to check out... A friend of mine helped me check the valves, and the compression...  They both seem to be within operating range.

I'm not what you'd call a motorcycle mechanic at all... this is all new to me, and I've purchased the Clymer's "handbook", and obtained a copy of the service manual for these motors.

I'm hoping, *crossing fingers* that I'll be able to make some sense of it all.

I've added a photo of the bike, as it was the day I bought it.  All I did to it at this point, was clean the dust off of it.  It had been sitting in a closed car trailer for about 8 years.

Thanks again!
