At one time, I used a Bodum Bistro pot, and I suppose it might be good camping because all you need is hot water and ground coffee. If you haven't used one of these pots, you pour the ground coffee in the pot, fill the pot with boiling water, wait a few minutes, and then use the plunger to "screen" the grounds "safely" to the bottom. I used to slurp 2 mugs of this in the morning. It wasn't the caffeine that got me to stop; it was the paint stripping effect on my stomach. The fact that I ground my own coffee to a fine consistency didn't help.
You'll note that coffee produced this way defies science in that no light can pass through it.
