HELP!!! Engine/Exhaust bolts
« on: March 30, 2007, 03:01:13 PM »
One of the bolts that hold on the exhaust at the engine of my CB550 are stripped.  Are these threaded both ways so that I can take a pair of pliers and back it out?

Yup.  If you're not in a big hurry, hit it now with some WD40 and tap it a bit with a hammer.  Keep hitting it with a bit of WD40 a few times over 24 hours, and then put the vicegrips to it.

Be carefull with these as I snapped one off and eventually just had to weld on a new stud.
