brake/clutch lever

Well I am looking to possibly replace my levers. Most sites all list silver as being for the 69-78 750. I would actually like to get black levers for mine instead. Anyone have black levers on their ride? Where did you get em?

Maybe get the silver then cover them with black heat-shrink tubing??
Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

Yeah but that would be like taking a part and spray painting it chrome. Just doesnt work. I thought of paint but that would not stay on.

Just get them powder coated. Can't see it costing much at all.

Are they able to handle the heat though? I mean the metal is similar to potmetal that is used on some parts of cars.

They should handle the heat just fine.  I always thought they were forged aluminum, or aren't they?  Lots of stress that I don't think potmetal is up to.

How about something like this product, in black of course, though you would have to make sure the pivot area was not coated.

Well I just wanted to make sure. I mean it is not advised to powder coat our calipers as they could warp. So I might look at that.
Bob, that is another idea. That stuff usually lasts a long time.
