Adjusting the chain with the bike on its sidestand

Ok a rather stupid Friday afternoon question but Ive always adjusted the chain with my bike on the centrestand - rear wheel turns freely etc..is there any problem/issue with adjusting the chain while bike is leaning on the sidestand (rear wheel cant turn obviously)?? Do you have to compensate for depressed shocks/swingarm?

Anyone do this? Wheel alignment issues?

If you know, for certain, that your chain has no tight spots, and can trust your swingarm markings, yes, I've done it.  In some regards it is better, as you can compress the shocks to get the chain as tight as can be without over tightening.

I broke a new chain after adjusting it on the sidestand--without sitting on it.
After sawing and screwing endlessly with masterlinks ,I readjusted it with me sitting on it--It was O.K. then.
