ngk connectors HELP
« on: June 08, 2007, 05:57:17 PM »
i bought 4  7mm ngk connectors, new plugs which i have not put in yet,new 7mm wire and new plug caps (ngk).i cut off the old wire on my cb 550  4" to 5" away from the coil as directed, then installed # 4 first.then i thought i would try to start the bike to make sure everything was alright befor cutting # 1,# 2 and #3.well sure enough # 4 is not fireing.so i pulled apart the new wire to the connector and everything seems alright so i put it back together and still no # 4 .....any ideas as to what the problem might be?i dont want to cut 1  2  and 3 before i figure this out.any help on this would be great :-\

Measure continuity using an ohmeter. Put one lead in the #1 plug cap terminal and the other lead in the #4 plug cap terminal. If they're resistor caps, the reading should be 33,000 ohms.
If it's worth doing at all it's worth over-doing.
