I think the dual light set up looks pretty slick.

I like the dual!

But what is the current draw?  Can this old alternator handle them?  Do you still have hi/low? Where do you stuff your electrics?

Can I have a motorcycle when I get old enough?
If you take care of it.
What do you have to do?
Lot’s of things. You’ve been watching me.
Will you show me all of them?
Sure.
Is it hard?
Not if you have the right attitudes. It’s having the right attitudes that’s hard.

I always liked the duals,  Been thinking of either buying a pair made for bike with high beam ($150) or just modifying some fog lamps to fit which would have no high beam ($20)

I've gotta go with the solo bulb.  I like the dual bulbs, but they look odd with the two guages right on top of them without a fairing to hide them.

Never been a fan of dual lamps. I like the single, the bigger the better.

Dual is cool... on newer bikes.  It's just my personal opinion but I think it's a little out of place on a vintage bike.  So you don't think I'm totally biased, I have those exact headlights on my 92 GS500 (except in black).

I like them both, it depends on the look that YOU are going for. Im also with WJL75, the dual needs a fairing to "work".
Looks great either way.
When the majority of the United States population get to be 70 years old, they will finally realize what is really important. And by then it'll be too late.

For some reason, the picture with the dual lights reminds me of Crow T. Robot from MST3K. ;D

Actually, the headlight are off of my Ducati. I have no fairing on the duc, but it works, it works really well.  :)  I was thinking about getting a new headlight for it and using the duals on the CB, but I'm just not sure about the look (Hence my posting). As for the draw, it's two (2) H4 bulbs. 55/60, I think, is the voltage. On the Duc I had to install a set of relays so I didn't burn out the head light switch since the power was doubled.

And the gauges are just a little bit wider than the duals, too. Doesn't look quite right...

Single it is... I think...  ;)

The dual lights draw too much current for CB (any of them)
BUT, If you fit bulbs from 1984 Yamaha Genesis 1000 you wont have any problems (they are 35/35 w quartz halogen)
Its a safety feature, never had both bulbs blow (or vibrate apart ;D) at the same time

I kinda was going that same direction you did. Dual headlights.

I had to weld a custom bracket and I stalled 2, 27watt Halogen bulbs. I know the wattage is higher than stock, but I disconnected my
turn signal running lights to gain 16watts of more usage. It's like driving with the high beams on.

Here's a few pic's.
