WOW!!! that is absolutely wild! I think it looks awesome...very fine line between that and very tacky but because the craftsmanship was done well it looks really good...could very easily have gone the other way if not done properly...

i do and i love it , the megacycle cam and pods made a huge differance , i do the ton no sweat now.

the majority was done with high tack gasket sealant and the edges were done with industrial strenth hot glue , its held up for years now

i could not agree more , like proteal was saying, im not doing something that has never been done, im just doing it right (IMO)
i've seen that busa your talkin about proteal, i saw an R1 that was totaly covered in tennis ball at delilah's a couple days ago

actually ..... i agree with you... the seat didnt turn out quite how i wanted , it is the oringial seat pan and foam .
i seperated the foam and cut up the pan with the plasma cuttter ,the foam i shaped with a kitchen knife and then a belt sander.(what a mess my garage was after that)
and after all that work... it does (in my own eyes) seem a bit..."sub par" im probaly going to go at it with the belt sander some more next winter and if i f#$% it up, then i might buy one

i forgot to mention my favorite part about the seat
i sacrificed my leather jacket , in the name of "custom"
and in doing so i found a brand in leather and put it in the seat ,
if you look at the back part of the seat you might see the letter "C" branded in the leather
i dont know if the pics show this very well
and yes doug it is pretty comfy

I like the look of the drain hoses too. Are those the push-on fittings on the single barb outlets from the fuel bowls? I found several companies that make the AN fittings like that. What size did you buy? #3 AN?

What did you do to the other ends to keep them from fraying? Keep up the good work, you have given me many ideas to customize mine. Hope you don't mine me borrowing some of them...lol. DrMark

my goal was to get it all dailed in before rockers v modders

so did you ever go to ace cafe ....i was only 18 when it opened , my uncle said was the place to be

Never made it to the Ace cafe for the year it was around.
Part of the ride for the "Rockers Reunion" is a group ride to the original location of the cafe (which is now a starbucks

)..
If that cafe was open now it would rake in the $$$...

All of the events put on by the Ton-Up club are well originazed, hell of a good time, and draw in huge crowds and lots and lots of rare/vintage bikes. If you guys need anything for the events shoot me an email. I am hoping to have the Rockers Reunion event be the unveiling of the CB450 project

ebay - they are 1 3/4" but i figured they would fit and they do , i dont really like them to tell the truth they look kinda cheap you know,.. like some thing you see at AutoZone/PepBoys

i got them at a hot rod swap meet , so i have no idea what size they are
and the other end was wraped in eletrical tape then shrink wrap

Thanks for the info over this past week regarding footpegs and the drain hoses.

I found this link on EBAY offering a 3 foot section with the mounting ends for $7.99. Thats 1/2 the price on found on any of the manufacturers websites. I figured I'd buy 2 of them and cut them in half. Hope this helps some of our other members if they are wanting to do the same mod/customized look.
