185cc Twin Star single carb question
« on: April 02, 2007, 06:06:39 PM »
Picked up this bike a while ago and decided to have a look at it today.
No movement in throttle. I have a manual and it states all I had to do to remove carb was to turn Top cap and slide Jet needle up and disconnect cable.

Great if it wasn't stuck.....or am I missing something. Looks as though the trottle slider is stuck?

HI
Yes i would say its stuck , with the top off if you lift up the spring ,then the piston should come out , the is a peg or keyway so do not turn it just lift it.
you may need to soak it in some penitrating oil overnight but mind those rubber seals .
When you do remove it make a note of the circlip setting on the main needle .

Thanks, I sprayed it again this morning, a friend came over and had a go at it and it finally came free. ;D
