He was selected as the Arkansas Razorback Head Basketball Coach. He's from Creighton. Now, if anyone's from there, I'm not saying anything about the place. I just don't know where it is or anything about it or him. Can, or would anyone care to enlighten me? ??? We heard that there were several that were hopefuls. Any input would be appreciated. I didn't know until a few minutes ago, but Eddie Sutton (a previous Arkansas basketball coach, before Nolan Richardson) came from there also. Then there was Nolan Richardson, who came from Tulsa, then Stan Heath (don't know where he came from) and now Dana Altman. Well, time will tell on how this turns out.

                                                 Later on, Bill :) ;)

I think he may have been at K-state, a few years back, believe he's a comer!  Anyone who coached in the big 12 has to be a step up for an sec school.  ;D ;D

Well, looks like we'll never know if Altman would have been a good coach or not. ::) 1 day after he was announced as being the coach, he left and headed to Nebraska. ??? Talk about antsy! :P It was said that he had built up some relationships over the years and he had to go back up there! My question is, If those relationships were so important why'd he come down here at all? ??? What a load of crap! I' hope our Athletic Director is nervous. Broyles is scheduled to retire at the end of Dec and seems like he's pulled another boner! >:( What ever.

Give it a rest, Bill.  It's only basketball.   ;D ;D  (I'm still pissed at Roy Williams for leaving Kansas)  I like Bill Self, but every time I see Williams on TV now, I turn to something else.

Hey Bill!

Don't know anything about Altman, but I know a bit about Creighton. Its a traditionally catholic college in Omaha, Nebraska. I say traditionally because I know a bunch of people who went there, and none of them are catholic.  Don't know anything about their sports programs, but they have a good rep. for academic programs.
