Well guys, I will be going off line untill Easter Monday night so I will take this chance to wish you all a happy Easter.
On my return, I will be able to tell you how well the CR performed at it's first event with the new 836 motor.
This event is going to be very important as it is at the venue (East Kirkby) that Chris ran his fastest time of 13.38s.
His record stood for 2 years but was beaten last year by a Kawasaki Triple, it took the time down to 13.13 @ 111mph.
All Chrises times at the other tracks we have raced at are mid 13s to 14.01s, If we can crack the 13.13s, we should be in good shape for the other venues.
Sam.
I could not wait untill Easter monday when I will be in work, so I have come in tonight.
Chrises Best time with the old motor not wind assisted was 13.5 seconds with terminal speeds around 93mph.
His best time wind assisted was the record at the strip we raced at today at 13.38.
This record was broken last year by a guy on a 750 Kawasaki tripple in a time of 13.13.
Today that record was binned by Chris, straight off the Trailer with a 12.65 at 114 mph.
He did 10 runs bringing the new record down to 12.17 at 117 mph.
To say we were pleased would be an understatment.
The bike pulled very strong but Chris shifted gear at 9000rpm and on the gearing we had, he only used 1st to 4th.
All round, it was a grand day out.
Sam.
